Since transportation is the largest contributor to Ontario’s carbon emissions, it is important that the Greater Golden Horseshoe (GGH) Transportation Plan aligns with climate policies at both the provincial and municipal levels. This joint submission by environmental, transportation, and health organizations emphasizes three overarching recommendations to the Ontario government: Ensure adequate investment in transportation, coordinate with existing planning policy, and recognize of interlinkages between transportation and climate change.
