Comments on Canada’s 2020 Pre-Budget Consultations

March 2020. Government of Canada. The government’s Pre-Budget Consultations provided an opportunity to submit comments to be considered in the creation of the 2020 federal budget. We submitted recommendations that focused on one of the four budget themes: Climate change and protecting the environment.

We identified key areas where federal leadership could advance critical low-carbon solutions:

1. Low-carbon homes and buildings
2. Zero-emissions vehicle rebates and charging stations
3. Market transformation for a low-carbon building sector

We provided specific recommendations for how Budget 2020 could advance solutions in these three key areas.
