Increasing Ontarian’s Access to Clean and Affordable Energy Via Heat Pumps

In this letter, Ontario HVAC industry leaders explain to the government how it can generate environmental, economic, and social benefits by accelerating the use of heat pumps. They recommend the government provide incentives for heat pump retrofits; provide incentives for use of heat pumps in new construction; support project financing for heat pump deployment; and support heat pump adoption through the Ontario Building Code. Adopting these recommendations would help the government fulfill its Made-in-Ontario Environment Plan.
